  • This report brings together the results of excavations on the site of Bradwell Abbey in 1968, 1969, 1972 and 1973. The information obtained by these excavations is combined with a study of the existing buildings and earthworks to produce a tentative plan of the Priory which is compared with the survey of the Priory by William Brabazon in 1526, which is republished within the report. Included are colour plates of the medieval wall paintings, post medieval pottery and medieval floor tiles. Appendix: Bradwell Priory Chapel by S E Rigold & P Woodfield.
